I went to a friends house today after eating a great healthy breakfast, and totally fucked it up. I ate so much. I ate, and ate and ate, and ate. I see my mistakes now, but it’s such a psychological problem I have sometimes.. If food is in front of me, I irrationally NEED to eat it. I was hungry from not having lunch yet, but ate all the wrong things. I’m sure I am way over my calories. So frustrating. I’m really going to try to hit the gym hard this week.. school starts way too soon. I am so nervous, I’m taking a yoga class this semester and I don’t want to be the awkward fat girl! Anyway, in hopes of learning from my mistakes, I’ll post WHAT I overate on today:
-Tortilla Chips
-Potato Chips
-Pirates Booty
-Salsa dip
-Creamy dip
-Peanut M&M’s
-Regular M&M’s
-2 Smirnoff Ice’s
-1 Roastbeef sandwich (from a 3 foot hoagie)
-1 Cheeseburger
-1.5 funfetti cupcakes
-1 football shaped oreo
-1 large chocolate chip cookie
…………HOLY CRAP. This is why I hate BBQ’s & hanging out with my friends. Most of them are either really fit, or don’t give a crap what they look like (damn boys). I need to work on my social eating. asdfISDJfklFKJLfhakjds. Tomorrow.is.a.new.day.
You won’t look like the awkward fat girl doing yoga. Its absolutely great, and I’m sure you’ll love it. It was one of my favorite forms of exercising a few summers ago, and you’d be surprised at how many bigger people do it. Don’t worry about the other people around you. Just enjoy the peacefulness of the whole activity, and trust me, you will love it.

I have the hardest time saying no to food at social events too. It happens but don’t beat yourself up. Next time just try and sit or stand as far away from the food tables as possible. Remember how much fun you had with your friends and don’t fret :)

i do this so much,but only when im home alone—i dont like eating that much in front of people, it makes me self conscious. This summer, however, i was home alone a lot & i ended up binging like this..terrible. the guilt, shame, and disappointment :(

its so hard when you have friends who dont need to really eat well &can have 10 beers, tons of chips, hot dogs, hamburgers &everything else we kill ourselves at the gym for. just need to limit yourself &try to go for the healthier items.

We must be related. I have this mindfuck problem too & subsequent unhealthy relationship with food. I feel like its absolutely a crime not to finish my plate, waste free food, etc. I’m also taking a pilates class soon & share your concerns.
